Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Landman role located in Youngstown, OH. The Landman will be responsible for conducting title research, negotiating leases, verifying ownership, collaborating with landowners, preparing legal documents, and analyzing property rights. The role involves working closely with teams across legal, operational, and regulatory domains to support land-related projects and ensure compliance with all applicable requirements while achieving project goals efficiently.
Qualifications
- Strong research, analysis, and title examination skills, including experience in drill site title, ownership verification, and land records review.
- Proficiency in negotiation, leasing, and landowner communications, including the ability to resolve disputes effectively and diplomatically.
- Experience preparing and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, rights-of-way, and leases, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Knowledge of energy acquisition processes for solar and wind industries, including regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in relevant software for land research and document management.
- A Bachelor's degree in Land Management, Business, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred but not required. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPL, RPL) are a plus.
- A valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel locally for site visits or client meetings when necessary.
