The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping our manufacturing facility operating seamlessly by troubleshooting and repairing problems immediately, reducing downtime. A Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks for machinery and around the facility.
This position reports to the Day Shift, which operates Monday through Thursday from 6:00am - 4:30pm in our Hammond, LA location. There are occasional needs to work additional hours and/or working on a Friday at the Manager's discretion.

Summary
Compensation Range
$25.00- $30.00 hourly, consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position. ACR reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. A Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks for machinery and around the facility.

What you will do in this role:
- Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints/schematics to understand/troubleshoot pneumatic equipment and mechanical breakdowns.
- Install, service, inspect and maintain functionality of machinery including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and other production-related parts and equipment.
- Servicing and replacing old or faulty equipment and working with the maintenance manager, machine operators, and the rest of the maintenance team.
- Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
- Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks in accordance with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
What you will need to be successful:
- 2-4 years of previous work experience as an industrial maintenance technician with in-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, pneumatics.
- Working knowledge of CMMS (eMaint)
- Welding knowledge a plus
- Machine experience (manual lathe, end mill) a plus
- Able to work with heavy equipment
- Good communication and mathematical skills with thoroughness in following direction both spoken and written.
- Advances troubleshooting skills.
- Able to work overtime as-needed
- Ability to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb and/or sit for long periods of time
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to grasp products.
- Ability to work at a rapid pace.
- Climbing and other consistent physical activity required.
