About This Role
Do you love cooking? If so, this is the position for you. Private Preschool needs someone passionate about preparing tasty meals. We serve breakfast, lunch, and a snack. The successful candidate will prepare simple but tasty meals for preschool students. The cook will be responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area, managing kitchen inventory, developing menus, and other light cleaning duties. Previous experience is preferred but not required. Must be 18 years of age. Being familiar with USDA food guidelines and Safe Serve is a plus. On-the-job training provided. Must love children.
What You'll Do
Prepare nutritious meals as outlined by the weekly menu. Bring creative and tasty meal ideas to the center director for consideration. Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area. Manage inventory, supplies, and kitchen equipment. Communicate effectively with children and co-workers.
Requirements
A minimum of 1-year of commercial cooking experience is a plus.
