About This Role
The Preschool Assistant Director is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the Center’s care. The Preschool Assistant Director is to act in place of the Preschool Director if the Director is not present. The Assistant Director is accountable for compliance to operational management in accordance with well-established guidelines, staff management, and facilities management. The Center Assistant Director ensures that the needs of the students and the goals of the center are met appropriately.
What You'll Do

The Center Assistant Director ensures that the needs of the students and the goals of the center are met appropriately.
What You'll Do
- Manage adherence to quality standards in accordance with the Center's vision and with state and local
- Communicate directly and daily to Preschool Director.
- Keep state required trainings up-to-date.
- Ensure that staff maintains up-to-date required trainings and employee file information.
- Maintain student records in accordance with Center's established enrollment procedures, and state guidelines and regulations.
- Maintain communications with families through direct conversation and Center selected communication app.
- Maintain positive relationships with regulatory agencies; ensure legal compliance.
- Resolve conflicts (including corrective action when necessary) to ensure a positive experience for everyone.
- Monitor staff training on illness and emergency procedures; ensure staff is trained appropriately.
- Monitor and execute monthly, quarterly, and yearly safety drills.
- Maintain a clutter-free environment for parent/guardian meetings, staff and classroom storage, and facility materials.
- Daily observe, monitor, and evaluate staff adhereance to state rules and regualtions and the Center's policies, standards, and procedures.
- Maintain a positive staff environment, support high staff morale, encourage staff to work as a team toward common goals of the Center.
- High energy.
- Strong oral and written communications skills; technology skills.
- Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Must clear full background check.
