Summary

A Pre-K daycare teacher is responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for young children, typically ages 3-5. Duties

• Planning Lessons: Creating engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that support early learning and development.
• Teaching: Leading activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive skills like storytelling, arts and crafts, and basic math and literacy.
• Monitoring Progress: Observing and assessing each child's development and keeping records of their progress.
• Classroom Management: Maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment.
• Communication: Keeping in touch with parents and guardians about their child's progress and any concerns.
• Supervision: Ensuring the safety of children at all times, both inside and outside the classroom.

Requirements

• Certification: Depending on the state or country, you may need specific certifications like a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
• Experience: Prior experience working with young children, either through internships, volunteering, or previous teaching positions.
