What You’ll Do Every Day
- Welcome families and build strong, trusting relationships with parents and babies
- Supervise infants closely and create a safe, calming environment
- Support hygiene routines like diapering and gentle clean-up
- Provide routine care—diaper changes with warmth and attentiveness
- Encourage early language by talking, singing, and engaging with babies often
- Share daily updates with families through Playground
- Use positive reinforcement to guide early behaviors
- Nurture babies toward age-appropriate developmental milestones
- Promote healthy feeding habits and assist with bottles and meals
- Warm bottles safely and support babies during feeding
- Keep your classroom clean, sanitized, and organized
- Maintain required training hours (DSS ABC CACFP First Steps)
- Follow center and state regulations to ensure high-quality care
- Create a peaceful, organized classroom that supports development
- Support your team with any additional tasks as needed
- Preparing weekly or monthly learning experiences for infants
- Planning simple physical activities that encourage movement and exploration
- Communicating effectively with parents about milestones and growth
- Leading twice-a-year parent-teacher conferences
- Completing ASQ assessments twice a year to support development
- Showing empathy, understanding diversity, and creating a welcoming environment
- Using problem-solving skills in everyday situations
- Supporting the team with any additional duties as needed

- Develop a careful and creative program suitable for infants
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach infants
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
- Track children's progress and report to parents
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background and psyche
