Duties
- Provide care and supervision for a group of toddlers in a classroom setting
- Work collaboratively with other teachers to develop and implement an age-appropriate curriculum
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and caregivers
- Supervise and support assistant teachers as needed
- Two (2) years of experience as a child care teacher/care giver OR
- AA/BA in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field OR
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- 30-hour STARS Child Care Basics Training
- Current certification in Basic First Aid and Infant/Child CPR
- MAT (Medication Administration Training)
- HIV/Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- Food Handler’s Permit
- TB test clearance
- Successful completion of a full background check.
- Ability to work effectively with families of diverse backgrounds, including single parents, grandparents as caregivers, co-parenting families, LGBTQ families, non-English speakers, teen parents, and families navigating sensitive circumstances.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Windows, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Google Docs, Zoom, and other online platforms.
- Base pay starts at $16.66 per hour, with the potential for higher pay depending on experience and education
