Position Overview
WCCC is seeking enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated individuals to join our team as full-time, year-round Assistant Teachers. Successful candidates will be comfortable working with children across all age groups, from infants through Pre-K, and will be passionate about supporting young children's growth, learning, and development.

What You'll Do
What You'll Do
Assistant Teachers play an essential role in creating a safe, engaging, and joyful learning environment for children. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting children's learning and development through play and exploration
- Participating in individual, small-group, and large-group activities
- Reading stories, facilitating art experiences, and encouraging imaginative play
- Helping maintain a clean, healthy, and organized classroom environment
- Supporting daily routines, transitions, and supervision of children
- Promoting positive social-emotional development
- Collaborating with teaching teams to provide high-quality care and education
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of all required background checks prior to employment
- Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
- Documentation of a negative tuberculosis screening
Preferred Qualifications:
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field
- Current enrollment in a related degree or credentialing program
