What You'll Do
- Provide a safe and healthy environment for children.
- Engage with children, observing and participating in their play activities.
- Communicate with parents about daily events, behaviors, and relevant issues.
- Nurture children's emotional and social growth, fostering empathy and positive self-image.
- Care for children in a childcare setting.
- Sanitize play equipment and toys.
- Clothe children and change diapers as needed.
- Maintain records on individual children, including daily observations and information on meals, activities, and medications.
- Identify signs of emotional or developmental issues in children and bring them to the parents' attention.
- Instruct children in health and personal habits.
- Organize and store toys and materials to maintain a tidy environment.
- Develop engaging lesson plans tailored to children's needs.
- Read to children and introduce them to art, music, and other creative activities.
- Assist in meal preparation and serving.
- Establish a regular routine for rest periods.
