- Lead daily age-appropriate lessons, storytelling, and creative play to stimulate emotional, social, and intellectual growth.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that complies with all state childcare licensing regulations.
- Observe and document child development and milestones to share updates and progress reports regularly with parents.
- Supervise children closely during all activities, including meals, outdoor play, and rest time, ensuring their health and safety.
- Provide compassionate care, emotional support, and guidance to children while managing behavioral dynamics with positive reinforcement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain them within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and fingerprinting required by Texas state law.
- Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods throughout the day.
Nice To Haves
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Prior experience working specifically with infant, toddler, or preschool age groups in Beaumont, TX.
- Knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers.
