After School Program Teacher

Summary

Beulah Duke Learning Academy (BDLA), located within Chesapeake Christian Center, is seeking a caring and dependable After School Program Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, structured, and fun environment for school-age children during the after-school hours. This position is perfect for someone passionate about helping children learn, grow, and build positive relationships in a faith-based setting.

Duties

• Supervise and engage with school-age children in a safe, nurturing, and organized manner.
• Assist with homework, enrichment activities, and creative play.
• Implement age-appropriate activities that support social and emotional growth.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration.
• Maintain classroom order, cleanliness, and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Support center-wide events and family engagement activities as needed.
  
  

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children in a group setting preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and complete required training.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented.
  
  

Hours: 2:00pm-5:30pm

Nice To Haves

• Training or degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
