Our client, a ~$50M Social Services Organization, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the General Ledger group to help lead the integrity and execution of all accounting. This position will sit on a team of 5 and report into the Controller.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the accuracy and entry of accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices and statements are verified for precision
- Compile and analyze weekly and monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and journal entries, to provide a clear picture of the organization's fiscal health
- Assist the month-end and year-end closing processes while collaborating with the senior accountants to maintain seamless daily financial operations
- Ensure all financial activities strictly adhere to internal company policies, federal/state regulations, and standard accounting laws to safeguard organizational integrity
Qualifications
- BA of Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field; CPA or Higher Ed a Plus
- 2 years of general accounting experience within a non-profit environment
- Experience with enterprise accounting software; I.E Netsuite, Sage Intacct, Financial Edge
- Strong Excel skills
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
