Software Engineer - Java - Trading Technology

My client is a scientific led Trading firm actively hiring for a number of exceptional Java Engineers across their commodities and equities businesses, on the back of a number of successive years’ of exceptional performance.

The teams' are close-knit groups of Researchers & Engineers who collectively utilize their skills in Modelling and Engineering to decipher bespoke sets of alternate, unstructured data and utilizing this to create systems providing the desk with their competitive advantage in the market.

Responsibilities

· Build frameworks to process real-time signals that will be used in trading decisions.

· Build out frameworks to ingest and vend terabytes of data. Including pipelining data from action to action.

· Architect caching solutions to ensure the fastest delivery of data

· Build out rich plots used by analysts & traders to determine long and short-term trends

· Work in a fast-paced, revenue generating team

Requirements

· A passion for working with complex data types and developing software to solve data processing challenges

· High Proficiency in Java

· Multi-threaded programming & distrusted systems

· Financial & trading experience is a plus not a must
