ACP Fiber Services is a national provider of professional communication services to the telecommunication and utility industry for network infrastructure buildouts and ongoing network maintenance. We are looking for a Aerial Telecom Lineman for full-time work out of our Cayce, SC office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Use equipment to install ground rods and anchors
• Handle materials such as fiber optic cable reels
• Be comfortable working with power tools and hand tools
• Working consistently out of a bucket for extended period of time.
• Comfortable working off of ladders as needed
• Ability to safely operate aerial lifts, such as bucket trucks/vans and boom lifts
• Follow safety and traffic control regulations in accordance with DOT guidelines
• Maintain a safe work environment by following codes, standards and legal regulations
• Ability to safely maneuver large vehicles with limited visibility
• Work safely at all times utilizing the necessary Personal Protection Equipment
• Drill holes for aerial attachments in wooden or metal poles as needed
• Install wire strand per design
• Use of aerial tools such as chain hoist, lifting straps, cable lasher, etc
• Setting of telephone poles up to 60’ in height
• Supervise and work with ground crew for optimum efficiency
• Document construction progress through written and photographic documentation
• On call rotation at least a week out of every month.
• Report to Construction Supervisor and Construction Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Ability to work safely at elevations pulling or lifting heavy objects
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
• Ability to climb poles and work heights up to and exceeding 30 feet.
• Ability to perform physical activities including but not limited to: Lifting and pulling objects over 100lbs.
• Ability to speak, read and write clearly in the English language.
• Two or more years of experience
• CDL A (Preferred)

Company Requirements:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America
• Must have a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record
• Must submit to background check and drug testing
