What are the responsibilities and job description for the Route Sales Representative position at ACP Detail Supply?
ACP Detail Supply is a growing automotive detailing supply company serving Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. We are expanding and looking for an additional sales professional in the Huntsville area to help us continue our growth. Our customers include new and used car dealerships, body shops, and independent detail shops, and we are looking for the right person to build long-term relationships with them.
Role Overview
This is an outside sales position operating out of a 16 ft box truck that functions as a mobile retail store, fully stocked with detailing supplies (similar to a Snap-On tool truck). You will be responsible for growing and maintaining a territory by:
- Calling on and building relationships with new prospects
- Maintaining and expanding business with existing customers
- Managing inventory and sales from your assigned truck using our computerized systems
The standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is extremely rare to work on a Saturday, and you will never work on Sundays.
Qualifications
Experience in automotive detailing is a plus but not required. We are primarily looking for someone who has:
- Strong customer relationship and communication skills
- High personal character, reliability, and integrity
- Professional work habits and a self-motivated, sales-driven mindset
Training on our products, systems, and route operations will be provided.
Absolute Requirements
- Able to work in a drug-free environment and comply with random drug and alcohol testing
- Valid standard driver’s license (no CDL required)
- Acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR)
- Clean background
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a salary-plus-commission structure:
- Guaranteed base salary of 60,000 per year
- First-year commissions are expected to exceed 15,000
- Base pay is issued weekly; commissions are paid monthly
