What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cabling Technician position at Acoustical Interiors inc?
Working within a small dedicated crew of cabling technicians. Work includes installing ceiling mounted cables and devices throughout various styles of ceiling. Training and tools are provided. Installation of Sound Masking, Roller Shades and Wall panels.
Small Business based out of Woodbridge Virginia. We provide transportation to projects in DC and Northern Virginia. Traveling the mid Atlantic may be required. Acoustical Interiors has offices in Virginia, Charlotte NC, Hilton Head SC, Atlanta GA and Florida.
Requirements
- Experience in commercial construction, acoustical ceilings/panels, low-voltage, or similar trade preferred but not required for strong candidates.
- Ability to perform physical work: lifting, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working overhead for extended periods.
- Comfortable working at heights on ladders, stilts, or lifts with proper fall protection.
- Basic hand and power tool skills and ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Reliable transportation to job sites within the company’s service area and ability to report on time.
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism on active client sites, and ability to work as part of a small team.
Schedule and compensation
- Full-time, typically Monday–Thursday (4-10s) with occasional overtime based on project needs. After hours work 15% of the time.
- Pay: competitive hourly rate based on experience, plus overtime opportunities and potential performance increases.
