Regrind Operator

DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for regrinding discarded vinyl to be re-used in the pressing room.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Retrieve flash and damaged records from press room for regrind

· Punch center holes from records then run through grinder

· Complete different vinyl mixes (25 regrind/75 virgin, 50/50 etc.)

· Rotate and store vinyl

· Keep track of vinyl inventory and report any issues to management

· Help Press Operators by filling their hoppers as needed.

· Keep work area clean and assist press operators by helping clean their area

· Follow all safety guidelines

· Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

· Ability to communicate verbally with others.

· Work well with others and be a self-starter.

· Ability to work without close supervision.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· Standing, walking, bending – 100%

· Repetitive shoulder movement and repetitive lifting (under 20 lbs.)

· Some lifting (up to 30 lbs.) regularly, 50 lbs. occasionally and carrying (up to 20 lbs. for at least 50 yards)

· Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.

· Ability to be trained on the Forklift.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
