Quality Engineer

We are actively recruiting for an experienced QUALITY ENGINEER with automotive experience which will work in our Bexar County Location. This is a full time job with benefit eligibility.

This position will coordinate the Quality department in order to meet the requirements of our clients and requirements of established standards, maintaining an updated quality management system, always aligned with the company's objectives.

Main and specific functions:

• Monitoring and maintenance of client portals 100%
• Coordinate activities and actions to maintain the company's certification in IATF16949
• Align specific customer requirements with our system
• Comply with established safety standards
• Define and manage the activities of direct reports
• Coordinate and attend to visits or audits that are required by the client.
• Maintain the quality management system
• Obtain PPAP approval
• Measure the % of waste, monitor and coordinate activities for its reduction.
• Monitor and manage the quality of suppliers.

Total Quality

• Actively participate in the improvement of processes and the quality system
• Notify immediately if non-conforming product or opportunity area is detected in the process.
• Participate in the audits carried out always answering honestly
• Maintain controlled documents and records.

Environmental:

• Effectively support the implementation and maintenance of the environmental management system
• Inform Senior Management about the performance of the EMS and its opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in the audits carried out always answering honestly.
• Report any environmental risk situation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in automotive, industrial engineering, quality.
• 3 years of experience in the automotive manufacturing
• Knowledge of the IATF 16949 standard.
• Knowledge of problem-solving tools (Ishikawa, 8d's).
• Internal Audit
• Knowledge of customer portals.
• Core tools
• Knowledge of the GM module (PRR, SQMS), BIQ.
