**DESCRIPTION**
Oversee enterprise payroll operations, manage international payrolls, and serve as the Product Owner for Payroll. This role requires deep expertise in payroll compliance across multiple geographies and hands-on experience with UKG systems to drive process optimization and system enhancements.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
Responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing the team that executes weekly and semimonthly enterprise payroll processing.
Serve as a key liaison between HR stakeholders, Finance, Accounting and Technology teams.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll in compliance with all local laws and provincial regulations.
Assist Payroll Tax team with year-end activities, tax filings, and audits of enterprise payroll.
Manage our relationship with third-party vendor ADP Streamline, responsible for processing our international payroll.
Coordinate payroll operations for multiple countries outside Canada and the US, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
Partner with global vendors and internal stakeholders to maintain accuracy and efficiency.UKG Platform Ownership.
Act as the primary Product Owner for UKG (ultimate Kronos Group) systems, including Workforce Management and Payroll modules.
Lead system configuration, upgrades, and integrations to support business needs.
Engage key stakeholders to align product roadmap with enhancements identifying appropriate prioritization.
Collaborate with IT and HR teams to optimize workflows and enhance user experience.Governance and Compliance
Maintain adherence to internal controls, SOX compliance, and data privacy standards.
Monitor legislative changes and implement necessary system or process updates.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
12 years of payroll leadership experience, including, US, Canadian and international payrolls.
Bachelor's Degree.
Proven experience as a UKG system administrator or product owner (Workforce Management and Payroll modules required).
Certified Payroll Professional credential
Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and global compliance requirements.
