Job Overview
This is an entry-level, phone-based sales role focused on generating qualified leads for Acorn’s senior team by making outbound calls to targeted financial professionals and other prospective contacts. The Account Executive is responsible for starting conversations, identifying interest, and booking introductory meetings, with all product and market training provided in-house.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls each day within our CRM database to introduce Acorn and gauge interest.
- Ask effective questions to identify basic fit and qualify prospects as potential leads.
- Keep brief, accurate notes from each call and update internal tracking tools or CRM.
- Participate in ongoing training and coaching to continuously improve talk tracks, objection handling, and results.
Requirements
- No degree, licenses, or prior finance experience required; full training is provided.
- Clear, confident, and personable phone communication style, with the ability to build quick rapport.
- Coachable, with a strong willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow in a professional sales environment.
- Strong analysis skills to interpret market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes
- Ability to conduct warm calling campaigns confidently while building rapport quickly with prospects
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, looking for more than just a paycheck and interested in building a long-term sales career.
- Comfortable with high activity, repetition, and handling rejection while staying positive and professional.
