What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. Telcom Technician position at ACOM, LLC?
The Position: ACOM is looking for a Jr. Field Technician in the Front Royal, VA area.
Requirements:
Can work Independently or as a member of a team
Minimum 1 year experience in Network and Cable Installation to include copper and fiber optics or an equivalent time as an electrician.
Knowledgeable in fiber optics installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting a plus
Minimum 1 year experience in access control
Minimum 1 year experience in security systems
Minimum 1 year of experience with cameras and network video recorders
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance
Ability to managed projects
Customer service oriented and excellent communications skills
Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
Must be able to work at heights on both ladders and mobile elevated work platform (MEWP)Able to use Microsoft Operating systems and applications (Word, Power Point, Vizio)
Preferred Skills: Ability to Listen and Learn skills taught in the field
Valid Driver's License
Virginia DCJS Electronic Security Technician license or the ability to become licensed
Virginia DCJS Locksmith or the ability to become licensed
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Post-Secondary Technical Training required
Driver’s license required. Hours are generally from 8:00 AM - 5 PM or occasionally have to work some 3PM-11PM shifts, Monday through Friday. Pay is based on experience.
