- Providing support to customers interested in and purchasing equipment by responding to customer and product queries
- Prospecting for new accounts, fostering current customer relationships, and continuing to grow opportunities with new and existing customers by taking a consultative sales approach
- Greeting and welcoming customers
- Providing a great customer experience through your knowledge of Acme Tools’ product offerings, service capabilities, and current programs
- Scheduling appointments to meet with and present products at customers’ work sites or businesses
- Identifying customers’ opportunities and making product or service recommendations that will meet customers’ needs
- Performing product demonstrations prior to the sale and walking customers through starting procedures and breaking-in periods once product is purchased
- Answering and facilitating incoming calls and Internet leads
- Entering and updating sales orders
- Obtaining freight and shipping quotes
- Registering products for warranty
- Requesting service work to be performed
- Processing financing for new and used equipment
- Following up after sales with customers to ensure they are satisfied with their purchase and resolving any potential issues
- Participating in store events (physical inventories, sales meetings, trade shows, special sales, etc.)
- Maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to and striving to improve safety standards and reporting suspicious activity
- Various administrative duties (organizing payments, distributing mail, maintaining office supply levels, completing MSOs for products, and other assigned duties)
- Completing related tasks as assigned
- Territory Sales - Equipment representatives work both in the Acme Tools – Bemidji store and out in the field. 75% of your day will be spent traveling within the local region.
- This role will be responsible for cold calling on prospective customers via phone, email and in person visits. Coordinating and working with individuals, commercial customers, municipalities, contractors, etc.
- You’ll need to operate and maintain a company vehicle and any provided technology resources
- Sales experience
- Equipment use, operation and function knowledge.
- Ability to cold call customers and be comfortable with rejection
- Ability to quickly build new relationships with customers
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Self-motivated and a Team Player with the ability to work independently
- Strong computer skills and to be able to learn new software
- A valid Driver’s License with Med Card or CDL and a clean driving record
- To be eligible to be an Interstate CMV Driver (valid Driver’s License, 21 years old, clean driving record, and able to obtain a med card)
- Ability to work a rotating Saturday shift
- Previous agricultural or construction equipment knowledge or experience
- Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand on a hard surface for extended periods of time
- Look at a computer screen for extended periods of time
- Bend, sit, squat, push, pull, kneel, and reach
- Employment offers are contingent on a drug screen and background check.
Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
