What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Supervisor position at Acme Tools?
Acme Tools is hiring a Service Supervisor for our Minot location. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows their way around engines, motors, and pumps, and who enjoys developing the people who repair them.
As Service Supervisor, you'll run the day-to-day of our service and parts departments: setting schedules, managing inventory, coaching technicians, and making sure every job that leaves the shop meets our standards for quality and safety. You'll be the person customers rely on for straight answers and fast turnarounds, and the person your team looks to for training, direction, and support.

- Training, appraising, and supervising service and parts department employees
- Utilizing the most cost-efficient and effective means for all service orders while upholding Acme Tools’ customer service and safety standards
- Managing day-to-day operations (reviewing daily productivity reports, maintaining inventory, ordering parts, participating in department interviews, employee relations and terminations, and creating cost budgets and profitability within the department, etc.)
- Planning and coordinating schedules for Parts Associates and Service Technicians to optimize productivity and ensure goals are being met
- Evaluating proficiency, keeping Service Technicians adequately trained, and advising the team on motor repair and refurbishment techniques
- Managing and driving positive customer experiences
- Ensuring Service Technicians are being held accountable for the quality of their work
- Maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to and striving to improve safety standards and reporting any suspicious activity
- Completing related tasks as assigned
