The Maintenance Technician is a multi-craft position that requires a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronics (PLC). This position provides emergency and routine maintenance support to the operations departments in an industrial/automated environment.

What You Will Do at Acme:
- Successfully troubleshoot, install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment as directed.
- Perform troubleshooting using a PLC
- Identify parts and supplies as needed to perform assigned tasks using manuals, catalog, etc.
- Perform work in an efficient and timely manner
- Confers with operators and observers, tests, and evaluates operations of machinery and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction.
- Disassembles machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
- Repairs, replaces, adjust, and align components of machinery and equipment orders or fabricates replacement parts.
- Test-runs repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
- Records repairs, maintenance performed and machine maintenance information utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Communicates with or assists other associates to repair equipment.
- Maintain a cooperative relationship with those contacted in the course of work activities.
- Adhere to all Safety Policies.
- Always wearing Personal Protective Equipment.
- Associates degree in Electronics, General Technology, or related field and 2 years industrial maintenance experience.
- Must be proficient in the following areas: Electrical, PLCs, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot, install, inspect, and repair electrical and electronic components across a variety of industrial equipment.
- Proficient in diagnosing issues using PLC systems to support efficient equipment repairs and root-cause analysis.
- Skilled in disassembling, repairing, adjusting, and reassembling mechanical machinery and components with accuracy and efficiency.
- Experienced in identifying issues and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, including diagnosing failures and replacing components.
- Ability to identify required parts and supplies using manuals, schematics, catalog references, and CMMS documentation.
- Able to communicate effectively in English with operators, team members, and supervisors to ensure safe, accurate, and coordinated work.
- Proven ability to perform repairs and maintenance tasks in a timely, organized, and effective manner.
- Consistent adherence to all safety policies, including proper use of required PPE and participation in assigned training programs.
- Works cooperatively with colleagues to diagnose issues, complete repairs, and maintain safe, reliable operations.
- Capable of recording maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment information in a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms or legs to perform job tasks.
- Must be able to reach above and below shoulder height to move product. This includes the ability to move throughout all areas of the facility.
- Ability to climb stairs.
- The ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects using hands, arms, back, abdominal muscles, shoulders, legs, or a combination of these muscle groups.
- The ability to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job duties.
- The ability to work in cold (-10 to 45*F) and wet environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times.
- Follows EHS, GMP, HR and other company policies.
- Wear required PPE.
- Follow mandated OSHA regulations.
- Report all incidents including near misses immediately.
