Psychiatrist

Cook County Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join our Behavioral Health team. This role provides psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and medication management for adult patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You’ll work in a mission-driven, academic environment that values collaborative care and community impact.

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and create treatment plans

• Provide medication management and psychotherapy

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings

• Supervise residents and medical students

• Support crisis intervention and on-call coverage

• Document accurately in Epic EMR

• M.D. or D.O. with completed psychiatry residency

• Board Certified or Eligible (ABPN)

• Illinois medical license (or eligibility) and DEA registration

• Experience in inpatient or outpatient psychiatry preferred

• Spanish language skills a plus

• $250,000–$300,000 annual base salary
