About the Role
Acme Pure Blu is looking for a skilled, self-sufficient pool service technician to take ownership of field service work across our West Michigan customer base. As a Lead Tech, you are the problem solver on the job. When you run into something outside your current knowledge, you know how to find the answer rather than escalating back to the office. You may have a helper working alongside you, but this is not a scheduling role. It is a field excellence role.
What You Will Do
Perform pool openings, closings, service visits, and repairs across a variety of residential and commercial accounts. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and water chemistry issues on-site. When you encounter a situation outside your direct experience, you research, troubleshoot, and work through it rather than waiting for someone else to solve it. You keep your vehicle stocked and your tools ready. You communicate clearly with customers and leave every job site in better shape than you found it.
What We Are Looking For
You can confidently diagnose and repair common pool system issues including PVC plumbing, gas heaters, automation systems, salt systems, and water chemistry problems. You are physically capable of manual labor in varying weather conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly. You hold a valid driver's license. You are the kind of person who figures things out rather than waiting to be told, and you take pride in the quality of your work.
Prior pool service experience is preferred. We are willing to invest in the right candidate who has strong mechanical aptitude and the right approach to the work.
Compensation and Schedule
This is a full-time, year-round position for the right candidate. Seasonal entry with a path to year-round is also available depending on fit. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Details provided during the interview process.
