What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Coordinator position at Acme Player Services?

The Human Resources Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department.

Entry Level, Full-Time Non-Exempt/Hourly position. $23-$25, Monday - Friday 

  • Handle HR/employment related questions, interpret and explain HR policies, and help resolve employee relations issues as needed. Maintaining confidentiality as required.
  • Process internal documents and update HRIS system for job changes including promotions and terminations.
  • Generate official internal documents such as offer letters (as needed), corrective actions, employee change forms.
  • Maintain compliance with employee personnel files.
  • Oversee employee attendance policy and compliance including follow up with employees as needed and issuing corrective actions as required.
  • Assist in employee investigations, terminations, documentation and compliance as assigned.
  • Create and distribute internal communications regarding company policies including memos and employee newsletters.
  • Prepare and maintain a wide variety of HR reports.
  • Provide support with the handling of employee accommodations and leaves of absence by completing thorough and accurate incident reports for all conversations. Review documentation, return to work dates and follow up with employees accordingly.
  • Process benefit qualifying events and assist employees with benefit related inquiries.
  • Assist in processing of employee terminations and exit packets.
  • Assist with HR audits including but not limited to I-9 audits, audit and benefits audit.
  • Assist with developing and implementing HR policies throughout the organization.
  • Assist with open enrollments including communications with employees, updating vendor with enrollments and ensure elections are entered into HRIS system.
  • Assist with federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with projects, such as handbooks, policy research and development, and the organization of company events.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, workplace violence training etc.
  • Assists Recruiter with new hire/onboarding tasks as needed.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and employee onboarding including all associated administrative tasks. 
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Perform general administrative HR duties and other duties as assigned by management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.   
Qualification Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and effective HR administration skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality. 
  • Basic knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems. ADP WFN a plus.
