Acme Paper & Supply is a successful distributor (75 years!) of paper products, disposal foodservice packaging and janitorial supplies and equipment serving customers in the mid-Atlantic region. We seek a Buyer who has a strong background in inventory management, demand planning and cost management.
Main Responsibilities include:
- Inventory Management: Evaluate and determine on-hand requirements for inventory. Your keen eye for detail will ensure we always have what we need.
- Demand Planning: Utilize cutting-edge demand planning software to maintain and improve inventory turns and service levels. Your expertise will keep our customers happy, and our shelves stocked.
- Purchasing: Place purchase orders with vendors for stock replenishment and special-order needs. Your strategic decisions will drive our success.
- Communication: Maintain high-level communication with internal and external customers, including customer service, sales, warehouse personnel, and leadership team. Your ability to connect with others will be key.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Collaborate with the warehouse team, accounts payable, and vendors to resolve OS&D (Over, Short, and Damaged) discrepancies. Your problem-solving skills will shine here.
- Cost Management: Implement and manage cost changes as required by suppliers. Your attention to detail will help us stay competitive.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of 2 years of demand planning or purchasing experience.
- Experience in the food service industry is a plus!
- Strong math skills.
- Experience with NetSuite and Blueridge Demand Planning software strongly preferred. If you have similar software experience please indicate such.
- Proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English.
- Excellent time management and analytical skills.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
