What You’ll Do
Installations
- Install commercial doors, frames, locks, panic devices, and aluminum storefront systems
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications, local building codes, and safety standards
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic door and hardware issues
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure doors and hardware operate safely and smoothly
- Communicate clearly with customers to understand needs and explain work performed
- Deliver professional, courteous service on every job
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets Acme’s quality standards
- Accurately complete work orders and service documentation
- Follow all safety protocols and job‑site requirements
- Use proper PPE and maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
- Work closely with fellow technicians and project teams
- Participate in training and team meetings to stay current on best practices
- 2 years of experience in door installation, repair, or related field
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort working indoors, outdoors, and occasionally at heights
- Ability to kneel, crouch, stand, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
