Job Title: Logistics/Import Specialist
Family-owned, well-established International Food Importer/Distributor located in Seattle, WA is seeking a full-time employee to join our fast-paced high-energy logistics/import team.
Job Description:
Work in a fast paced office environment, have daily communication with our suppliers, sales & purchasing team, as well as communicating closely with our outside logistic partners & customs brokers. Day to day responsibilities include processing import documents and the coordination of our import containers with Freight Forwarders, Suppliers/Agents, Customs Brokers, Drayers, and Third-Party Logistics Partners.
Job Requirements:
· Be able to strategically plan and coordinate inbound and outbound ocean containers, logistics, warehouse, and transportation, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
· Need to be extremely detail oriented, have strong organizational skills & have the ability to problem solve effectively. Possesses the ability to negotiate Ocean Freight and Dray rates.
· Need to be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and possess good general computer skills.
· Minimum of 1 year of prior experience in ocean freight imports required.
· Ability to work well independently or with others in a team environment and maintain calm under pressure.
· Fulltime position - Monday-Friday - Days
· High School diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.
