Acme Education Group, Inc. offers academic enrichment program for kids from 5yrs - 12 yrs during afterschool hours. We are seeking for a qualified after school Chinese teacher for the Chinese as Second Language class. The teacher will inspire students to build strong communication, reading, and writing skills of Chinese language while developing understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging Chinese lessons tailored to students’ language proficiency.
- Teach Chinese classes according to Acme’s curriculum framework.
- Incorporate cultural topics, games, and multimedia tools to enhance classroom engagement.
- Collaborate with the academic coordinator to refine teaching plans and assessments.
- Maintain classroom order and ensure a positive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
- Teaching experience in K–8 Chinese education.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Passionate about language teaching, patient with young learners.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (required).
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Education, Chinese Language, Linguistics, or related field.
- Experienced teaching CSL learners with limited Chinese exposure.
- Ability to integrate digital tools.
