Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Front of House Leads. The FOH Lead level 2 is similar to an Assistant Front of House Manager role, and is hourly and part of the tip pool.
In an atmosphere where many restaurants are closing their doors, Acme Burger is expanding. We currently have 5 locations, and are continuing to grow. The FOH Lead 2 would be trained in all essential aspects of FOH management, ready to be promoted to FOHM as positions become available. We will be filling one opening in Cotati, and two in Petaluma.
The Front of House Lead 2 is a hospitality professional who helps to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth team management. This role is vital in creating a lively, warm and welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and staff are motivated to deliver their best. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for hospitality. As a key team member, you will coordinate front-of-house activities in the absence of the front of house manager, supervise staff, and uphold high standards of food safety and service excellence. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise front-of-house staff, including training, coaching, and development to ensure top-tier customer service
- Oversee shift management, ensuring efficient operations during busy hours while maintaining quality standards
- Manage customer interactions, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction at all times
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food preparation, presentation, and timing to deliver seamless service
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Toast, including cash handling and reconciliation
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels of supplies and food items; assist with ordering when necessary
- Enforce food safety protocols and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
- Support the Front of House Manager with staff interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing training to foster a skilled and motivated team
- Assist with budgeting responsibilities related to food costs and labor expenses
- Contribute to overall restaurant management by supporting marketing initiatives and ensuring operational efficiency
Skills
- Extensive experience in food service with experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments a plus
- Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in hospitality or restaurant management roles
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast; cash handling expertise required
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage diverse guest needs effectively
- Familiarity with inventory control, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices
- Ability to train staff in food production, service techniques, and safety protocols
- Experience in managing shifts, budgeting, and overseeing food industry operations in casual dining or fine dining settings
- Strong communication skills for staff development and team coordination
- Demonstrated leadership in hospitality management with a focus on team management and training & development
