What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Lead/Forklift Operator position at ACME Block & Brick, Inc.?
We are a local distributor/manufacturer of Masonry and Hardscape supplies. We have an immediate need for a forklift operator/lead yard man. This is a full-time position with benefits.
This is a physically demanding job. We are looking for employees who are motivated to work hard and possess a positive attitude!
Job Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid Tennessee driver license
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs on a continuous basis
- High School Diploma or GED
- Forklift operation experience a plus
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must be able to pass mandatory pre-employment drug test
- Interpersonal skills a must (deals directly with customer base)
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Personal skills must include mechanical ability, analytical thinking and work organization. This position requires knowledge and understanding of company policies and procedures, material handling equipment, repair methods and records. This individual must have the ability to prioritize the work to be done and focus on it, possess a high sense of urgency, to be thorough with the work being done, to offer his/her best knowledge of the situation to be used, project integrity and credibility to the company.
- Must have the ability to load and unload materials using a Forklift
- Must be willing to keep vehicle clean and maintained.
- Must maintain a well-groomed professional appearance appropriate for the position.
- Performing any other assigned tasks may be required.
