Acme Awning, established in 1935 is the leader in the Chicagoland area for manufacturing servicing, and installing awnings. We believe in treating our employees with respect and providing a path that will lead to success. We have experienced rapid growth and are seeking to add a qualified lead production manager / Installer to the team.
The ideal candidate will work hand on with a crew and posses but not limited to the following skills/abilities-
- Coordinate and supervise the daily production activities of assigned staff
- Ensure that production goals and objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitor production performance, identify areas of improvement, and take corrective action as needed
- Ensure that production processes are carried out in accordance with established safety and quality standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Train and mentor production staff in the use of equipment and processes
- Monitor and document employee attendance and performance
- Develop and implement production schedules and workflows
- Enforce company policies and procedures in a consistent and fair manner
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation
- Troubleshoot production issues and resolve them in a timely manner
- Prior experience in Awning manufacturing/installations or a similar field.
Applicant will also possess the following abilities
*Knowledge of Construction and ability to read shop drawings/prints
*Ability to lead and work with a team on production and installations
*Knowledge of Construction and ability to read shop drawings/prints
*Working knowledge of proportional math
*Valid driver license and good record
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
*Posses mechanical knowledge that will assist in problem solving in the field
*Carry heavy loads
*Use of basic hand and power tools
*Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
*Knowledge of fasteners and their practical application
*Be a team member and add to our casual environment
*Ability to learn new skills
*Working knowledge of proportional math
*Valid driver license and good record
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour
