American Construction Metals (ACM) is a rapidly growing manufacturing Strategic Business Unit of ABC Supply and is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant.
In this role, you will work in a number of areas within the business. This may include answering phones, completing transactions within our operating system and providing customer service. If you are detail oriented, have previous clerical experience and are looking for a rewarding opportunity with an established company, we want to hear from you!
Specific duties may include:
- Completing transactions in JD Edwards (JDE) accurately and timely
- Coordinating the effective use of various transportation providers
- Facilitating material movement, planning and scheduling of needed product shipments
- Coordinating the completion of paperwork for final invoice transactions
- Troubleshooting transportation issues related to schedules, carriers and customer locations
- Completing picking, packing and shipping duties as assigned
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Interact with Customer service and internal departments like Shipping, Manufacturing and Receiving
Qualifications include:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in an office setting
- Ability to effectively understand and utilize our manufacturing operation software (JDE)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Must be able to work under the stress of deadlines
- Solid computer and typing skills
- Positive attitude and team player
Physical Demand:
- Associate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day.
Work Environment:
- 100% manufacturing setting
- Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
- Associate will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery.

Pay Rate Information:
$18–21/hr. Based on experience and qualifications.
