Role Description
ACM seeks a full-time Director of Research Integrity to oversee and champion the integrity of its scholarly publishing and research activities. This hybrid role is based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, with opportunities for remote work. This role involves developing and implementing policies to ensure research ethics, managing investigations into ethical concerns, collaborating with key stakeholders, and promoting best practices in academic integrity. The Director will work closely with various committees, authors, and editors to maintain the highest standards of publication ethics, while ensuring alignment with ACM’s values and global mission.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in research integrity, academic publishing, or research ethics management
- Strong understanding of scholarly publishing, peer review processes, and publication ethics
- Excellent organizational, project management, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in handling ethical violations and strong problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse cultural and professional groups
- Familiarity with governance processes in professional or academic organizations
- Master’s or Ph.D. in computing, information science, or related fields (strongly preferred)
