Be the go-to problem solver for high-speed plastics linesWe’re a well-established, innovative, and stable manufacturer seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II. Enjoy full benefits, 401K match, PTO, and the chance to sharpen your craft through company training programs.Pay, shift, and workloadStarting pay range: 27.40–35.25/hr 1.50 shift differentialNight schedule: 12am–8:30am (flexible to 10pm–6am). The role is also noted as 11pm–7:30am.Hours: 40 per week; weekends as requiredWhat you’ll doOwn preventive maintenance to sustain maximum production rates.Diagnose and repair plastics machinery, AC/DC motors and drives, downstream equipment, chillers, and associated controls.Maintain spare parts inventory; contact, specify, and order replacements and control components from suppliers.Boost CMMS performance with on-time PMs and compliant repair work orders.Serve as the first responder to machine issues; engage Electrical Engineering for added support as needed.Support Daily Management and spearhead continuous improvement for safety and throughput.Collaborate with Production to ensure safe, reliable operation of plant equipment.Must-have capabilitiesProficient with voltmeter, ammeter, ohm meter, megger, and similar test tools.Understands machine functions and sequences of operation.Reads electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.Knowledge of NEC, UL508A, NFPA 79; practices LOTO and adheres to arc flash/PPE guidelines.Industrial mechanical/electrical/plumbing/pneumatic troubleshooting skills.Strong leadership, prioritization, and time management.Solid grasp of electrical formulas and mechanical math.3-phase power distribution and industrial wiring.AC & DC drive/motor PMs, wiring, programming, and troubleshooting.PLC I/O and networking troubleshooting (hardware scope for Tech II; familiarity with program mods typical of Tech III).Motion control with servo drives and motors.Root Cause Analysis and structured problem solving.Effective communication with plant teams and vendors.Microsoft Office, Excel, Word.Preferred2–7 years in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, and controls.Basic PLC and drive training.Exposure to plastics processing.EducationHigh School/Vocational School Diploma or equivalent required.Technician-level exposure to electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.Hands-on proficiency areasMechanical troubleshooting120/208/240/480V systemsElectrical installation, troubleshooting, repairRelay testing; insulation resistance testingHVAC maintenanceConduit pulling and bendingPneumatics troubleshootingGeneral maintenance and repairIndustrial electrical experienceEquipment & platformsHusky injection molding machinesVFDsExtrusion equipmentPLCs: Allen Bradley, FanucConveyor systemsServo motorsWhy you’ll thrive hereWork with modern automation in a stable, growth-minded environment.Access training to elevate your skill set and advance your career.See the direct impact of your expertise on uptime, safety, and quality.
