Position : Receptionist for the Office

Summary
Greets and directs faculty, students, staff, visitors, and the public while providing general reception and office support. Serves as a professional and welcoming first point of contact for the office. This position is required to work on-site five days per week and requires discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.
Typical Duties
• Provides administrative support to a senior leader, helping principal and meeting attendees stay on schedule.
• Welcomes faculty, staff, students and other visitors and directs them appropriately.
• Answers, screens, and routes incoming telephone calls; takes and relays messages accurately and promptly.
• Responds to general inquiries in person, by phone, and by email, providing information or referring individuals to the appropriate department or staff member.
• Notifies employees when visitors arrive and coordinates visitor access in accordance with office procedures.
• Maintains a professional, organized, and welcoming reception area.
• Receives, sorts, distributes, and processes incoming and outgoing mail, packages, deliveries, and interoffice communications.
• Coordinates couriers, vendors, building services, and other visitors as needed.
• May assist with appointment calendars and schedules, confirms appointments, and assists with meeting room reservations.
• Sets up, tests, and assists with audio/visual equipment and other technology needs for meetings, presentations, and events.
• Assists with room preparation, including arranging seating, preparing materials, and ensuring meeting spaces are ready for use.
• Performs typing, data entry, scanning, photocopying, filing, and other general clerical duties.
• Prepares, formats, distributes, and maintains routine correspondence, forms, reports, and office materials.
• Maintains office supply levels, places orders as authorized, and distributes supplies as needed.
• Assists with maintaining accurate records and files in accordance with established procedures.
• Provides basic assistance with routine administrative tasks and special projects.
• Exercises discretion and maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive information, records, communications, and visitor interactions.
• Follows established office, safety, security, emergency, and building-access procedures.
• Performs related job duties as required.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Salary : $30 - $35
