Job Opening: Quality Systems Specialist (Aerospace / Defense)
Location: Joint Base Charleston, SC (100% Onsite)
Pay: $47/hr. on W2
Duration: 12 Months
Shift: Must be available for 1st (06:00) and 2nd (14:30) shifts (Rotating shifts may be required)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Quality Systems Specialist 2 to support quality assurance plans and tests for hardware and software products, processes, and services. In this role, you will help maintain quality directives, policies, procedures, and metrics to ensure full compliance with program, contract, customer, and regulatory requirements as well as international QMS standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Root Cause & Corrective Action: Collect and verify data to identify root causes for routine quality issues and contribute ideas for corrective action plans.
- QMS & Compliance Audits: Assist with hardware, software, and system-level audits to evaluate compliance with QMS standards, configuration assurance, and regulatory rules.
- Nonconformance & Material Disposition: Review and validate product nonconformances, document audit results, compile data, and provide recommendations for material review dispositions.
- Supplier & Process Support: Support quality source selection and conduct process reviews to verify supplier capability in meeting program requirements.
- Process Analysis & Planning: Perform operational/process quality evaluations and review production and modification plans to ensure embedded quality requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education & Experience: Relevant educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Shift Flexibility: Ability to work both 1st (06:00) and 2nd (14:30) shifts, with potential rotation as needed.
- Medical & Physical Clearances: Must be able to pass and maintain Ground Operations Personnel (GOP) and air respirator medical physical certifications.
- Work Style: Capable of executing tasks efficiently under general supervision.
Salary : $46 - $47
