Technician / Quality Control (Hands-On)
Scope:
Hands-on technical role supporting incoming inspection, quality control activities, optical measurements, sample preparation, and coating-related operations for Acktar USA operations in New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming and outgoing inspection of customer parts and coated components
- Operate microscopes and optical measurement equipment for inspection and reflectance characterization
- Support quality control activities including visual inspection, dimensional verification, measurement documentation and record keeping
- Prepare and handle samples, coated parts, and fixtures for shipment or internal evaluation
- Assist with operation and organization of laboratory and coating-related equipment
- Maintain inspection records, reports, and ERP documentation
- Coordinate with U.S. and Israel-based engineering and operation teams
- Support packaging, labeling, and shipment preparation activities when required
Requirements / Preferred Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in technician, laboratory, manufacturing, quality control, or similar hands-on technical role
- Experience operating microscopes and/or optical measurement equipment (spectrometers, reflectance measurement systems, or similar devices) is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures carefully
- Comfortable working with small precision parts and technical hardware
- Training will be provided on Acktar coatings, optical measurements, and internal procedures
- Basic familiarity with quality documentation, ERP systems, or manufacturing paperwork is an advantage
- Ability to work independently in a small and fast-growing company environment
- Salary Range: $70,000 – $85,000 (depending on experience) possible performance bonus
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
