The Fabrication Shop Manager is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of fabrication shop activities, ensuring projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and safely. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality and teamwork.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shop operations including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow coordination
- Supervise shop staff and assign tasks according to project requirements
- Ensure quality control of fabricated plumbing assemblies and structures
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to maintain material availability
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Provide hands-on support for welding, cutting, assembly, and layout tasks as needed
- Collaborate with field supervisors and project managers to meet deadlines and specifications
- Train and mentor apprentices and junior team members
- Maintain accurate documentation of production and labor tracking
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall project and company success

- Familiarity with fabrication and inventory management software is a plus
