What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teachers for Evening Childcare and Extended Learning position at ACKERMAN ELEM?
Experienced elementary teachers to work 5 hours per week, Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00-8:30 p.m. The program meets at Ackerman Elementary School and the children are three years old to 3rd grade. In need of an additional teacher to join a team of educators and work with students and provide guidance to paraprofessionals.
The Early and Extended Learning Program is offered two evenings per week while the parents of the students attend adult ESL courses offered by Metro Community College. The teachers and paraprofessionals will guide and interact with children as they are playing games, reading books, and learning English. Staff will serve snacks and supervise restroom breaks.
The program begins on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
