Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician (HVAC/R)

Position Summary:

A City Discount is a restaurant equipment retailer specializing in new, used, and liquidated equipment. We have an immediate opening for a COMMERCIAL KITCHEN EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN to install, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen equipment. Most of the tasks performed for this position are onsite at our location in Norcross.

Responsibilities:

• General assessment of commercial equipment operability.
• Offsite removal/installation (as needed) of water, gas, refrigeration, and electrical appliances.
• Priority triage and repair of used water, gas, refrigeration, and electrical appliances for the Used Equipment Operations department.
• Maintain written and data entry records with a high degree of accuracy including par levels of parts, tools, refrigerant and other shop supplies.

Qualifications:

• Three years’ experience in troubleshooting and repair commercial refrigeration and kitchen equipment (ice machines, coolers, freezers, fryers, stoves, ovens, grills, etc.).
• Must have SOLID knowledge of 3-phase commercial electrical and refrigeration repair.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Journeyman license or CFSEA certification are not required but would be a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds.
• Capability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures and warehouse environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
