Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Assembly & Build
- Assemble machinery and mechanical components according to:
- Engineering drawings
- Blueprints
- Part lists
- Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
- Use precision tools (torque wrenches, dial indicators, depth gauges, digital levels) to achieve tight tolerances.
Production & Shop Floor Responsibilities
- Safely operate overhead cranes to move heavy components during assembly.
- Measure accurately in both imperial (inch) and metric units.
- Collaborate closely with supervisors and teammates to meet production deadlines.
- Maintain an organized, clean workspace in line with lean manufacturing principles.
- Follow all safety protocols and consistently use required PPE.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure all assembled machines meet high-quality and performance standards.
- Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on processes and tooling.
- Maintain proper documentation and follow structured workflows.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical assembly experience
- OR
- 5 years of experience in machine tool parts, machinery maintenance, mechanical service, or related manufacturing roles.
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Blueprints
- Schematics
- Part lists
- Skilled with precision measuring tools and hand tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movements.
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.Preferred
- Experience with electrical wiring assembly.
- Forklift license.
- Computer literacy for documentation and basic troubleshooting.
