About the Role
This position supports radiologists and physicians by producing high-quality CT and X-Ray images needed for accurate diagnosis and treatment. The technologist ensures minimal radiation exposure, follows all imaging protocols, and provides general patient care while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 2 years of CT experience (Required)
- Ability to perform X-Ray (Required)
- ARRT certification (Required)
- BLS – AHA (Required)
- Toshiba CT scanner experience (Preferred)
- Work history, skills checklist (within 1 year), and two supervisory references (within 2 years)
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT examinations according to protocol and adjust exams based on patient history and radiologist direction.
- Administer IV and oral contrast per institutional guidelines and monitor patients throughout the procedure.
- Provide radiation protection using proper shielding and collimation.
- Assist with sterile procedures, obtain vital signs, gather clinical history, and perform venipuncture.
- Identify allergic reactions or urgent medical conditions and assist the radiologist in response.
- Document all patient information and procedure data accurately.
