We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to join our outpatient clinic team at the Maricopa County Correctional Health Services. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting clinical workflows, assisting providers, and ensuring excellent patient care. This role requires flexibility to float to other units as needed and adherence to all clinic policies, including mandatory vaccination requirements.
Responsibilities
Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, and documenting medical histories.
Prepare patients for exams, procedures, and lab collections.
Perform routine clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and administering injections as directed.
Support providers with charting, EMR documentation, and clinical workflow management.
Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
Float to other units as needed to support staffing and patient care.
Comply with all safety, infection control, and clinic protocols.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited health care training program.
BLS (AHA or ARC) certification.
First Aid certification
High School diploma or GED.
Completed fit testing for N95 respirator
Shift: 3X12-Hour Nights, Full-time
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks minimum)
Pay: $23.00/hour
