Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Supervision and Oversight:
- Oversee and direct the daily clinical activities of assigned personnel, including Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other support staff.
- Ensure all patient care, including medication administration, treatments, and procedures, is performed accurately and documented correctly according to the care plan and physician orders.
- Monitor patient conditions, quickly identifying changes in status and communicating with the Registered Nurse (RN) or physician to initiate appropriate interventions.
- Staff Management and Development:
- Assist with scheduling, assigning shifts, and managing staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage.
- Conduct initial training, ongoing in-service education, and performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Address and resolve staff conflicts, disciplinary issues, and performance deficiencies in collaboration with the Director of Nursing or HR.
