ACI Building Systems is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to oversee purchasing activities, inventory control, and production scheduling to support efficient production operations. This role ensures timely material procurement, accurate cost tracking, and effective coordination across departments and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily purchasing operations, including ordering materials, supplies, and consumables
- Maintain inventory levels by generating reorder reports and placing orders as needed
- Coordinate production and shipping schedules to support operational efficiency
- Process job materials and anticipate material needs based on production demands
- Track and update purchase orders, costing data, and inventory records
- Maintain accurate documentation, including packing lists, schedules, and reporting spreadsheets
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve supply and scheduling issues
- Support monthly and periodic reporting, including open purchase orders and inventory tracking
- Assist with ERP system processes, cost updates, and continuous system improvements
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain operations
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Microsoft Dynamics 365)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- High attention to detail, particularly with cost tracking and data management
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Physical Requirements:
- Office-based position with routine use of a computer.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs., bend, squat, kneel, sit, and/or stand for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
