Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated in-home caregiver to provide personalized care to one of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various medical settings, demonstrating the ability to support individuals with diverse needs. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our client, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance while maintaining their dignity and independence. They have Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and are bed-bound, so you must be extremely careful with them.
Schedule
- Monday: 10:30AM-8:30 PM
- Tuesday: 10:30AM-8:30 PM
- Wednesday: 10:30AM-8:30 PM
- Thursday: 10:30AM-8:30 PM
- Friday: 10:30AM-8:30 PM
- Total: 50 hours
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and document client health status, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with medication management and ensure adherence to prescribed treatments.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for the client, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Foster a positive relationship with the client and their family, providing emotional support and companionship.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the client's needs.
- Knowledge of or the willingness to learn how to use a Hoyer lift
- The ability to lift 50 pounds if need be
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred!
