Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver to provide safe and timely transportation services for patients requiring non-emergency medical appointments. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, strong customer service abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and well-maintained vehicle. This role is essential in ensuring patients receive their medical care comfortably and on schedule, contributing to the overall well-being of the community.
Duties
- Safely operate vans, or other commercial vehicles to transport patients to and from medical appointments.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring comfort and safety at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, including routine inspections and reporting any issues.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation routes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns.
- Ensure proper documentation of trips, mileage, and passenger information as required.
- Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, respectful, and attentive to passenger needs.
- Assist with heavy lifting or mobility aids when necessary to support passenger safety.
Experience
- Previous shuttle driving or delivery driver experience preferred; experience with bus driving or paratransit services is a plus.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and maintaining vehicle safety standards is desirable.
- Experience in commercial driving, including limousine or school bus driving, is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with passengers and team members effectively.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics will be beneficial for ensuring vehicle reliability.
- Candidates should hold a valid
